The Historic Festival of Mi-Carême (Mid-Lent ) is celebrated halfway between Ash Wednesday and the Saturday before Easter. Parades, costumes and general merry making are the order of the day, and Bleuette will need a special costume to join her friends in the celebration.
This lovely deguisement harkens back to the 18th century with the L.S.D.S. pattern of 1913. "The Flower Seller" is a cotton print skirt with linen panniers. A cotton batiste blouse is trimmed with French lace, her corset is also cotton, as well as her apron adorned with silk bows. The beautiful bonnet, known as a Bergère, ties with custom dyed vintage gros-grain ribbon.
I sized this outfit to fit vintage and reproduction Bleuettes.
NOTE: doll and shoes are not included.
